Covering around 1.9 km² and home to over 2,000 residents, Thoddoo is one of the largest agricultural islands in the Maldives, famous for its tropical fruit farms, especially sweet watermelons, papayas, and other fresh produce. The island offers stunning white-sand beaches, crystal-clear lagoons, a beautiful bikini beach, and rich marine life, making it an ideal destination for snorkeling, turtle encounters, manta ray excursions, sandbank trips, and experiencing authentic Maldivian island culture.
Getting There
It takes approximately 1 hour30 mins to 2 hr by speedboat to reach Thoddoo Island from Malé. Travel time may vary depending on sea conditions and weather. On good weather days, the journey is usually faster and more comfortable.
